Entries for VHTRC Events Open Soon

We certainly don’t want to fan the FOMO flames which seem to be burning so brightly through the running community these days. But on the other hand, what if the lack of a friendly reminder to runners planing to run certain events could have prevented some forgetful folks from missing out on one of the great running events coming our way? That answer will probably remain unknown, but anyway, here are some important dates that are fast approaching.

Don’t forget. Registration for the MMT 100 will open January 1,2015. If you plan on entering MMT, there is no need for panic since you have an eight day window beginning January 1 to apply for the lottery. Just make sure you make your application before 9:00pm January 8,2015. All you need to know is on the MMT Web site.

Registration for the Hashawha Hills 50km Trail Run opens January 5, 2015. Because we were forced to cancel last year’s race, some priorities were established for entry to the 2015 event. Among those priorities, the one that affects the greatest number of folks, is the one which says if you were on the final entrant’s list last year, you are guaranteed entry into this year’s race with a discount. But you must apply for entry like everyone else. Full explanation on the web page.

Odd twist of fate. There are some folks who have been waiting for this since 2009. Hashawha Hills is held the last Saturday in February. The Reverse Ring is held the last full weekend in February. The majority of the time this is the same weekend, but by some fluke of the Gregorian calender, those who want to run the Reverse Ring on February 21, AND Hashawha Hills on February 28, and enter those events, will be afforded the opportunity to do so in 2015.

Entry for the BRR 50 Mile Run will open on February 1, 2015.
