VHTRC Women Dominate Odyssey Races
On a bluebird late summer day at Douthat State Park, the Blue Train women represented the club in fine fashion with podium finishes in the Odyssey Trail Marathon and 40 miler. Sophie Speidel and Stephanie Wilson went 2-3 in the 40 miler, and Gaby Gorman set the female course record in the marathon with a time of 4:11.

Megan Stegemiller first female at OD100
Megan Stegemiller finished the 35th Old Dominion 100 in 23:31, good enough for first place female and the coveted sub-24 OD buckle. Keith Knipling also broke 24 hours to earn his second buckle in two weeks after finishing MMT.

Fast times at Holiday Lake 50K
Over in Appomattox, VA, Matt Woods was second male and Martha Nelson was third female at David Horton’s 17th annual Holiday Lake 50K on Saturday. Marty Lindemann was the first female over 50 in a PR. Many VHTRC members reported PRs and fast times on the two-loop course.

Sabrina Moran First Female at Rocky Raccoon 100
Many VHTRC runners traveled to wet and muddy Huntsville, Texas for the Rocky Raccoon 50/100 on February 4-5. Sabrina was the first female finisher in 17:06. 78-year-old Ed Demoney finished the 50 mile in 17:14.
