Aaron Ellison victorious at Capital Backyard Ultra
In what may go down as the race of the year, Aaron Ellison outlasted Shawn McDermott and Trevor Baine at Sarah Smith’s Capital Backyard Ultra. The race is a “last person standing” format, wherein a 4.1667 mile loop is repeated every hour on the hour. That’s 25 miles in 6 hours, 50 miles in 12 hours, 100 miles in 24… and continues until only one person remains.
Aaron was the lone finisher, completing 27 laps, or 112.5 miles. Results on Ultrasignup.
