2014 Trail Work Party

A dedicated group of VHTRC volunteers worked on trails in the Massanutten Mountains on May 3. The group broke into teams and attacked trails on Kerns Mountain, Short Mountain, and several other locations.

Long ago, the VHTRC “adopted” the Massanutten Trail over Short Mountain. On this occasion, we refreshed the blazes on the northern section of the trail. Last year, we did the southern part. Now there are fresh blazes from the Moreland Gap road all the way to Route 675.

Even before our work, the trails were in good shape. They are more so now.

Thanks to all who gave up a day they could run to work in the mountains.
