Massanutten 100 Recap
Dan gave a debrief on the race including the budget which he stayed within. 67% finisher rate. Changes planned for next year include parking increased, new caterer for pre race meal, tracking enhancements, new equipment for aid stations and finish line. The truck driving position is a difficult position to fill and requires more than 1-2 volunteers. Touch base with the forest service to have required lots open by the time aid station captains and crew arrive. Need to increase the food and swag budget. This was a successful first year for Dan Aghdam as RD.
Tracy Cooley has been working to prepare for this new club event. The board officially voted and unanimously approved Tracy as the RD for this event. The budget is undetermined currently. Multiple porta johns will need to be rented.
Currently weighing options on the most convenient location for most members and families to be able to join.
