VHTRC 30th Anniversary
Sara drew up a logo to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the VHTRC, which the Board discussed. It was agreed that Sara and Keith would finalize it after the meeting. Tracy will provide the sticker company she used for WHM and the goal will be to have stickers by MGM this weekend.
Upcoming events
Tracy acknowledged that MGM is December 10, Boyer’s Furnace is December 26, and Redeye is January 1.
RRCA dues renewal
Keith went over RRCA dues renewal. The dues we pay to the RRCA primarily covers insurance for our races and events and is calculated, in part, by the number of “households” in the club (ie, a cohabitating couple is only counted once). The dues for 2023 are $3,534.08, down from $4,394.08 paid in 2022. This is due to shrinking membership (501 households in 2023 versus 671 in 2022). Keith noted that the number of members in 2022 may have been artificially high, due to the free one-year extension granted during COVID. Also, there was a membership glitch for part of 2022 where members’ memberships may have unknowingly expired. This also contributed to the comparatively low membership level for 2023.
