New business
Women’s Half Marathon
Tracy Dahl proposed Saturday, September 16, 2017, as the date for next year’s Women’s Half Marathon. The Board approved this date and encouraged reserving it with Fountainhead.
Bull Run Run RD
We are still seeking candidates for the Bull Run Run RD position. Keith volunteered to write a message to the membership soliciting additional applicants. This will be sent to the Board for editing and approval before posting publicly. There was also a discussion of timeframe for deciding on a new RD; the position will remain open until the right candidate is found.
Membership Meeting
At our next teleconference on August 29 Dan and Tom will present a detailed agenda for a proposed membership meeting.
Awards Party Criteria
Anstr has proposed a new scoring system for the Club awards that is objective and encourages club participation in our events (not just races). We discussed this new system and Tom will work with Anstr on adopting it.
Establishing a Google account for the VHTRC Board
It was decided to establish a Google account for the VHTRC Board, with an associated Google Drive to enable storage and collaborative editing of documents, and communal calendar for scheduling meetings and events. Keith will create the new Google account for the Board.
