This is the club policy on medical issues.
Runners are responsible for their health and well being at our races. The VHTRC does not provide medical care for runners in our events. The club supplies food and drink to allow the runners to stay fed and hydrated, but the club does not supply over the counter pain medications, including Ibuprofen, to maintain the health of runners. The responsibility for a runner’s health is the responsibility of each individual participant. Each club event will have a plan approved by the board for whom to contact as well as the method of contact for emergency medical aid if it is determined that a runner’s health deteriorates to the point that in our opinion such aid is needed.
