VHTRC represents at TJ100K
Megan’s time of 11:31 bested the previous record of 12:00 set by Rachel Bell Kelley in 2015. She also won the “Ms. Consistency Award” given to the runner with the smallest time gap between loops (13:00). Cherry Grassi was the top female Masters winner, and Tom Simonds was the top male Grandmasters winner. Gary Knipling finished in 15:15 to claim the 70+ crown.The TJ100K is held on the rolling singletrack trails of Walnut Creek Park south of Charlottesville. It is a 8.97 mile loop that is repeated 7 times with 7,000 feet of total elevation. Unlike the rain and mud conditions of 2015, this year’s race saw dry trail, cool temps (though a bit humid midday), and no precipitation.
