Moving the email listserv to Google

The Virginia Happy Trails Running Club has an email discussion group about the club and trail running in the DC area. You are welcome to participate, even if you are not a member of the club. The “Listserv” is not a general discussion forum about running. It focuses on our members, our area, and our events. More information on the listserv.

Since its inception in the 1990s, this listserv has been hosted by Yahoo. Today we are moving to Google Groups and the new vhtrc-listserv@googlegroups.com and the old Yahoo Group will be terminated on September 22. We are not transferring the current email list over. If you wish to be a part of our email community, you must act.

If you have a Gmail account, simply email vhtrc-listserv+subscribe@googlegroups.com and follow the directions that will be emailed to you. Be sure you’re using your Gmail address to send the email. Or you can go to your Google Groups page, search for VHTRC, and ask to join the group. Please put your full name in your reason for joining; this will help us moderate the list and keep spam out of your inbox.

If you do not have a Gmail address, you can create one. If you would rather not, please email the board at vhtrc.board@gmail.com to request that you be added to the list with your non-Gmail address. Please put your full name in the message; this will help us moderate the list and keep spam out of your inbox.
