Congratulations to the Watkins family for sweeping both top spots on the Holy Cowans Gap podium. Adam was the overall winner, in a sparkling time of 5 hours and 22 minutes, just five minutes off the course record. Robin was first woman to the finish, in 6 hours and 29 minutes. Others runners of note on this 6th running of this Memorial Day weekend classic, held in the scenic Cowans Gap State Park in south central Pennsylvania: Peter Kempe finished his 5th HCG 50k in 6 starts. Edward Cacciapaglia [aka Ed Cappuccino] has also been on the trails all six years. This year Ed served as a sweep, breaking his streak of five finishes. See you all next year, on May 28, 2017, for race number seven!
